As I have yet to describe on this blog, I am a "professional reader" for Netgalley! That means I receive Advanced Reader Copies (ARCs), and in lieu of financial compensation, I along with other ARC readers offer the author and publishing house our sincere thoughts and advice.

Summary:
Mindfulness takes a lot of mental energy to wrap your brain around. Gudetama is here to help you become a better person...sort of.
Empathizing with others, understanding your feelings, learning to be selfless. These all sound like really hard things to do! Well fear not, come along with Gudetama who’ll guide your way to learning things and more. Living selflessly is something many struggle with. Don’t worry, Gudetama does too, and wants to join you on your journey in finding the wonders of mindfulness.
My Review:
I’ve been obsessed with Gudetama for years and this was so cute! I couldn’t take it. My heart was so warm. It captured their spirit perfectly! They were so in character: charming but lazy, funny but dry, and sarcastic but interesting. It explains mindfulness and concepts like empathy and sympathy in terms so simple a child could understand. It makes for fun and light reading that could even be shared with an older child! I struggle with social situations, interpreting tone, and navigating uncomfortable conversations. I loved this book, as it put mindfulness into simple terms and situations that made it easy for even me to understand. 5/5 stars.
My Favorite Line(s):
This was a short graphic novel and sharing any of the lines may have given away too much, so as a professional reader, I have decided not to do so at this time. I would encourage anyone looking into mindfulness or who loves Gudetama to check this out!
