Hello and merry meet!
I’m Mars, a 21yo reader and wannabe writer from Ohio. I’ve wanted to be a writer from the first time I put pen to paper. A chapter book a day kept me going and frequently inspired me to write little blurbs. As I got older, books became less of a priority as school and family drama and work started to take over. At 20, I felt like my world was ending nearly every day.
I’ve recently started the process of moving out of a turbulent household with my cats and corgi, and I’m starting this blog as part of my fresh start. Now that I’m an adult with a cozy studio apartment and a steady job, it’s time to reclaim my happiness. I plan on sharing books I’m reading, writing projects I’m working on, and what’s going on in my life as a young person moving out for the first time in 2024. Thanks for being here and following my chaotic little life! -Mars

P.S. You may be wondering: what the heck does "fake snappy" mean? Well, I love the band Paramore and their album After Laughter got me through a lot. I was feeling angry and short tempered (snappy!) while driving to work one day and their song Fake Happy came on my Spotify shuffle and boosted my mood. We've all heard of the grumpy/sunshine trope, and I'd say I'm sunshine that gets covered by clouds sometimes, though I always bounce back to joy eventually. Hence, Fake Snappy because I'm joyful person who gets down sometimes.

P.P.S. Naming a blog is hard!!
